NOCO, Montreal downtown

Nomad Coliving's first location, Noco, has been home to our community since 2018, located in the heart of Montreal's Village neighborhood. Designed for colivers looking to explore the city for 1 to 6 months, Noco features 16 bedrooms, with half being doubles, typically hosting around 20 residents at a time.

One of the highlights of the space is the thoughtful layout of the bathrooms—8 rooms have private bathrooms, while the other 8 feature semi-private bathrooms, shared with just one other room. This setup offers convenience and privacy, allowing colivers to leave their personal items in the bathroom without worry.

Beyond its practical design, Noco is a community hub that has hosted countless dinners, game nights, and shared moments among residents over the years. Its location is ideal for urban exploration, offering easy walking access to downtown Montreal, Papineau metro station (green line), Bixi stations, groceries, pharmacy, bakery, bars, cafes, and so much more.

NICO, Montreal Hochelaga

Nico, our second Nomad Coliving location, was born out of the high demand for Noco. Many of our regulars and those looking to extend their stay couldn't be accommodated, so we created Nico to meet that need. We also wanted to continue supporting our sponsorship program and required additional space.

Designed to feel more like a home, Nico is located in a charming, local neighborhood—less touristy but still incredibly convenient. Just three metro stations away from Noco on the same line, it's only a 2-minute walk from the metro, making it easy to access the rest of the city while enjoying the peace and quiet of a residential area. The house sits right in front of a lively park, where we often walk our house dog, Koko, a little French Bulldog with a big personality whom we rescued when we moved in.

Nico offers 10 rooms, large communal spaces, and a yard. With future renovations, we’ll be adding 6 more rooms. This location is designed for colivers over 30, catering mainly to regulars or those wishing to spend more time with us, as most residents stay for over a year. Since day one, Nico has been fully booked, and availability is extremely limited.

Montreal

Montreal, located in Canada, is an attractive destination for digital nomads and remote workers. The country has a long history of immigration and is therefore known for its welcoming nature. Montreal boasts a thriving tech industry with a growing number of startups and established companies, making it an excellent place for tech workers. The city offers a high quality of life, affordability, and diverse culture, and is well-equipped to enjoy colder winters. Most common services are offered in both French and English, making it easy to navigate.

In addition to its attractive qualities, Montreal also offers a vibrant nightlife with many options for entertainment and dining. Its community of digital nomads is fast-growing, providing ample opportunities for networking and collaboration. It's essential to acknowledge that Montreal is situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) Nation, who have lived in the region for thousands of years before colonization. Visitors can explore the city's rich Indigenous history and culture through museums, galleries, and cultural centers.
